"I LOVE YOU"

Hmm..I hope you all had a great weekend and seemingly so, a beautiful week I wish thee. Mine was equally awesome, and strangely so,death was one of the thing's luring in my mind. I am no grim-reaper, therefore, kindly do not wet yourself and get all spooked. There is a quote I once read, which stated the reason as to why we usually cry when someone passes on, is mostly because we rue the chances we had to tell them of how special, loved and good they were to us,compared to how we would actually miss them. May be a bone of contention, right? Personally, I think it is a bone with a lot of meat on it...thus, chew on!!

My place of residence has a lot of stray cats, and it is with them I started the I-Love you- quest . Might have been a retard idea, but they were the closest pets around.(It was either them or mosquitoes-have your pick!!). It might have been a great venture, had they not run away whenever I approached them-I had it all planned out!! Draw media attention, similar to my namesake's (Babu of the Lolliondo Wonder)- have human-traffic of cat-lovers and owners coming to seek my counsel-charge them at ten shilling per lesson-and Zuckerberg may be biting my dust...Dreams...thank God I have none!!

I recall the first time, in my adulthood, I opted to share the three golden words with my mum and dad. After making simultaneous calls to both and telling them so, they both came up to the same satirical conclusion -"My son, I know things are hard. But do not to commit suicide. You will meet another special lady" Yep, they thought I was on the verge of grasping the noose. That was just astonishing for me, but all in all, they know me best, and are certain I wouldn't stoop that low. I told my sisters, and an 'ummm', was all they could respond with. As for my brother..well..let me spare his ego. With time, I have made them accustomed to it though.

I share this, because I believe all of us have special people in our lives. People who do us so much good, so often, that we perceive it to be our right, take if for granted and make it seem as a way of life.Do not be myopic and mainstream it to family members; I mean friends, your house-help, your watchman, your driver..you name it. Hey, do not go telling everyone "I love you, I love you..though!!". SHINE YOUR LIGHT!! I Simply mean, let those who do you good, know you appreciate them. 'A simple-thank you-have a nice day-you look good today; your are the best-and the likes, wouldn't hurt you at all. Do not tire if you get no response..you may be like the tale of the old lady who used to pick litter in the church compound and was always went unnoticed. Upon her absentia, litter started piling up and people realized her value. Choose not to be like the church-goers!! Let them know so, while they are still alive..do not await death, and expect them to hear your eulogy! I know I won't!!

Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you!! Do not await for someone to start, be the first. Be the difference.
