A Break-Up Poem!! Ha

Life is beautiful. Life really is, Beauty-full, and don't we all just love it. Anhui, today, we take a rather sour tune to the music of life-BREAK-UPS!! Yay. Got this inspiration from a couple I came across at Uhuru Park, arguing so emotionally-the lady was busy ranting how 'his' man was not man-enough, by not catering for her needs..blah blah blah. There I had my bulb moment-NDING!! Why not poetize it. This would rid us off the cliche-' it's not you, it's me' or 'you are too good for me. Let us just be friends' reasons. Before I proceed, I have a bone of contention with the latter reason: since when, has being good been a vice. I believe, that most often than not, this people mean that they are actually, too bad for you, and are simply saving you their wretched stench!! Therefore, never beat yourself up when these words are jelled into your relationship.

Our tune produced,
such a great beat,
til you soured it up,
into total misfit,
being such a feather-weight,
punches by life softened your wait,
ups and downs meant to belt our waists,
erased you fast like water-paint..

Deeper into you,
I was sinking in breadth,
now my eyes sight of you,
is sheer hippo breathe,
a 100% giving,
to you my life I had bet,
minus all that,
because zero is all you'll get.

Timeless therapy,
I seek to save your mind-frame,
spanking you with shame,
for losing a hot-one in the game,
thence know-its not YOU i dont believe,
its US-I wouldn't dare conceive..

Football Romance-Cupid's Cup

To many it is a religion, others an obsession, some a profession. Some men call it their first, one and only, true-love,, while to others, its utter rubbish-men and women chasing after a round, leather object, for 90 mins plus.FOOTBALL. Thought we would give it a twist, from the normal ranting:What does your team say about you?Is there any chance, that you chose your team as per your character. I picked up the query with some fanatics, and came up with the following conclusion. Do not Hague me for this-I only jolted the verbals. Should it spark controversy,I stand to be corrected. Only teams with oomph, shall be highlighted, thus if you are part of 'others', you seriously need to work on your character!!Ha!!

1.Manchester united..well well. These are achievers. Majority are usually good at grinding out results.Very good. Sadly, they are sore-losers since they often like things going their way. I think is not a matter of arrogance, but belief that they are the best. In matters pertaining to Heart-mology and its ambiance, the men are favored with the bad-boy image, yet the ladies are tough and vocal. They are resilient, a character that creams their winning ways. When it comes to relationships, they simply can't be taken as the ultimate choice, as their mantra, draws in more than they can handle. Alleged cheaters. Confidence is an aura they embrace, and will definitely stand out in crowds. Downfall is, they are chest-thumpers and glory-seekers. A good add to society though, I must confess

2. Arsenal.. These are smooth operators (either in words, charisma, eloquence or modern swag), keen to the finest of detail and always strive to mix beauty and glamor. They are loyal, as evidenced by the current state their team has put them through. If you need a partner, then in Arsenal you should trust. Come to think of it, Bibilical Moses must be an Arsenal fan, because he was a man and is, the father of faith. Fact for sure, once they are at their best, invincibility is the code they live by-excellence is the code they stand by. When going through rough patches in life they tend to be emotional and can be kind of stubborn at times. They strive for the best and seek to get it in the best way;sadly, this marks their demise, as this is where they loose out to United. Oh oh, an Arsenal lady is a keeper, I must confess.

3. Chelsea and Manchester City.the new kids on the block.oh. Yes..new!!Now, the latest crop of chatter-boxes and spoilt-brats, by virtue of having things thrown at their feet. Just kidding. This are attention-drawers. They command it- to be precise. They have a way to stand out, and from their owner, Mr.Abro and the Arab-hustle is a code most embrace. They are often swayed by flashy trends(pap) and like to glimmer in an aura of elegance. They were used to being second best until recently, after discovering that there are short-cuts in life. This made them rub off some characters from the other two teams. Good thing about them, is you can always count on them. They love holding a good reputation, in all aspects, and yearn for green pastures always. They fear not to spend, and romantically, well have one in your heart-chambers, and a smile you shall embrace.

4. Liverpool and Tottenham-he he...seriously, should I!! Okay..this are the see me when I shine, forget me when I am deem type. They will be in your face when things are rosy, and be under your beds when the lights are out. They are a rare kind, and for those who walk in you path, have their footsteps lingering on for a long time. They never walk alone. Their uniqueness makes them stand out, and to this matter, always want to be noticed for it. Romantically, aiyee, their uniqueness draws attraction. Once you go their way, you always say baiby..I am here to stay!!

These I gathered in a week..what say you...oh footy-lover!! If you are in the La-liga..Barcelona and Madrid..then you are short-sighted and afraid of challenges.

A week to live!!

The doctor told me, that I only have a week to live. Yep, one week. So much to do, so little time. Opted not to share this with you, I spent most of my time planning on what or what not to do....Damn!!

Thursday 14th April 2011- my Lord, what a day that was. The day, this black-sugar (me), turned grey; I mean, turned grey for real. I was a living desert. Gasping for breath, short breaths, could not walk on my own two feet, muscle-pulls all over, up to my lips.DAMN!!  I simply lacked control over my entire body, and all I wanted to do, was to chop off-every bit of me that hurt. The pain was unbearable. I  thought my time was up-utamhaliss was no more-and started saying my last prayers.  Oh yes, I was in that state:so worn-out, so sick, that I had to be carried from my residence to the car, which led the surge to my admission in Equator Meridian Hospital. I am healthy now, thanks to God and the earthly-angels he graced my life with. To those who knew, I am greatly indebted to all, those who did not, I know you would have done the same. Therefore, I make this solemn vow, that your tears, woes, grief and bliss, have an eternal palace in the four chambers, men chose to call a heart: MY HEART!!Oh, and for those who saw me tear-up, my tears were not of pain but joy..as I have never felt so much affection avalanche me like on that day. I love you!!

Back to basics. That hour, that minute, that second when my sight went blurry, my body felt numb and my thoughts graced the paths of Heaven, I was tongue –tied, knowing not what to say to God. Now it has me lost in thought: why do people repent? Why? Why? Why? Now that I am on my way to full-fitness, I find it to be insulting to God, to those who believe, don't you think?  Would I be wrong, in saying that this actually affirms that we know when we are doing wrong? I know, man is to error, and I for one am good at it. But seriously, doesn't it mean so? At this final hour, shouldn't we be thanking God for the gift of life, love, laughter and many more. Doesn't it mean, we spend most our time doing that which eventually brings no good to self, thus the repentance! Would I be wrong to state, therefore, that we waste time on detrimental issues? Take rtime and ponder on it....

'A group of students was asked to list what they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World.  Though there was some disagreement, the following got the most votes: 1. Egypt's Great Pyramids 2. Taj Mahal 3. Grand Canyon 4. Panama Canal 5. Empire State Building 6. St. Peter's Basilica 7. China's Great Wall    While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet, so she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my

mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."
The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are: 1. to See 2. to Taste 3. to Touch
4. to Hear She hesitated a little, and then added; 5. to Feel 6. to Laugh  7. and to Love
The room was so full of silence you could have heard a pin drop. Those things we overlook as simple and "ordinary" are truly wondrous. This is a gentle reminder that the most  precious things in life cannot be bought. God gave them to us. Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just mean  you've decided to see beyond the imperfections.'

Okay..so one week to live..what would do? Would you mock the Supreme Being? Think about it? Once you have your answer, think about your life now, and what you are doing, then make drastic changes, in favour or not, of what you decided. I write to you because I know you are special, and do not want you to be a passer-by in life!!

Cockroach Theory!!

They are said to be the only creatures that would survive a nuclear attack, with their earliest fossils to have been found between 354-295 million years ago. Fast forward, and into Japan our mind shuttle lands-Japan's latest tsunami disaster. (I hope you prayed for them). The Fukushima Daiichi plant is said to have been releasing radiation emissions: sure, would be unjust to assume that the only inhabitants there will be......(fill in the blanks). Now now, let us zoom to the relevance of the theory, before you get Roach-fever!!

Life is one thorny rose: scent and sight so yum, yet a wrong touch can result in the most painful of pricks; but I must add, we all love life, don't we?. A Nigerian saying states (got it from an Oga movie-o)-You would rather die living, than live being dead!! In life we meet people of different character; some good, some bad, others tolerable, others a nuisance, others can be said to be talented annoyers, others simply ballistic..and many more. It is from this bunch, that we have friends, acquaintances, and some, even foes. This depicts the beauty and grandeur of life. All in all, as I said in one of my previous blog..better the devil you know, than the angel you don't know is total crap, as I am yet see any sense in hanging out with a devil in the first place. For people to play a role in our lives, unless its family, who usually become tame-able with time, one must actually avail them with a script. We have to let someone into our lives, for them to impact it.

Many times we meet people who seem to have characters which are not appealing to the self. We usually sense it from a distance, but give them the benefit of doubt, and assume it's an ill assumption. Hmm...really? If you were an animal acting on instinct, I am certain you would have made an amazing documentary in Nat-Geo. Anhui, likening this to the cockroach; once you see one, then you should know, that there are many more in your area of residence..aha, you have seen them, haven't you? First, it was one cockroach, then two..and all of sudden, you wanted to  tell them to start paying rent!! Well, from the cockroach theory, so is a lesson in life. I am not  advising you to shun anyone. NOT AT ALL!! I am stating that your life is too valuable, too precious, for you have someone cultivate stress in it. If you don't think you are that special, well, I DO!! Make time, more time, for those who add value; and unless you plan to make better those whom cause debacles in yours...always remember the roach!! I know you are an eagle, why seek the counsel of chicken?

Remember, a time spent frowning, stressed, angry..is a equally time lost laughing, smiling, loving and sharing bliss. The choice is yours to make..and as you ponder on that..for those who have seen the Ridsect advert with the old granny on it..doesn't she have the sweetest toothless smile ever!! He he..I have no crash on her mark you..shidwe!!

"I LOVE YOU"

Hmm..I hope you all had a great weekend and seemingly so, a beautiful week I wish thee. Mine was equally awesome, and strangely so,death was one of the thing's luring in my mind. I am no grim-reaper, therefore, kindly do not wet yourself and get all spooked. There is a quote I once read, which stated the reason as to why we usually cry when someone passes on, is mostly because we rue the chances we had to tell them of how special, loved and good they were to us,compared to how we would actually miss them. May be a bone of contention, right? Personally, I think it is a bone with a lot of meat on it...thus, chew on!!

My place of residence has a lot of stray cats, and it is with them I started the I-Love you- quest . Might have been a retard idea, but they were the closest pets around.(It was either them or mosquitoes-have your pick!!). It might have been a great venture, had they not run away whenever I approached them-I had it all planned out!! Draw media attention, similar to my namesake's (Babu of the Lolliondo Wonder)- have human-traffic of cat-lovers and owners coming to seek my counsel-charge them at ten shilling per lesson-and Zuckerberg may be biting my dust...Dreams...thank God I have none!!

I recall the first time, in my adulthood, I opted to share the three golden words with my mum and dad. After making simultaneous calls to both and telling them so, they both came up to the same satirical conclusion -"My son, I know things are hard. But do not to commit suicide. You will meet another special lady" Yep, they thought I was on the verge of grasping the noose. That was just astonishing for me, but all in all, they know me best, and are certain I wouldn't stoop that low. I told my sisters, and an 'ummm', was all they could respond with. As for my brother..well..let me spare his ego. With time, I have made them accustomed to it though.

I share this, because I believe all of us have special people in our lives. People who do us so much good, so often, that we perceive it to be our right, take if for granted and make it seem as a way of life.Do not be myopic and mainstream it to family members; I mean friends, your house-help, your watchman, your driver..you name it. Hey, do not go telling everyone "I love you, I love you..though!!". SHINE YOUR LIGHT!! I Simply mean, let those who do you good, know you appreciate them. 'A simple-thank you-have a nice day-you look good today; your are the best-and the likes, wouldn't hurt you at all. Do not tire if you get no response..you may be like the tale of the old lady who used to pick litter in the church compound and was always went unnoticed. Upon her absentia, litter started piling up and people realized her value. Choose not to be like the church-goers!! Let them know so, while they are still alive..do not await death, and expect them to hear your eulogy! I know I won't!!

Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you!! Do not await for someone to start, be the first. Be the difference.
